Approximately 40 Airmen from the Utah Air National Guard's 151st Medical Detachment-1, the medical portion of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and High-Yield Explosive Enhanced Response Force Package (CBRNE), conducted a training exercise and "Tough Blooder" obstacle competition with their civilian counterparts from the Davis County Sheriff's Search and Rescue team and the Franklin County Emergency Medical Services in Franklin, Idaho, on Oct. 13-15, 2017. The training gave the Airmen some valuable face-to-face time with local civilian EMS personnel, allowing the participants to become familiar with one another's capabilities prior to a potential real world mass casualty event.
