The Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron from California Air National Guard’s 146th Airlift Wing takes center stage, and members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at Starokonstantinov Air Base were rewarded with a 2-hour training finale flight onboard the wing’s C-130 J Super Hercules. Instruction focused on medical procedure familiarization
Evacuation
" At the aircraft we familiarized the students with our inflight kits are various medical equipment and we brought them on the plane and their eyes were full of joy. We’re flying a 2 hour aeromedical evacuation training mission. Composed of 5 aeromedical evacuation crew members form the United States two nurse , three med techs. They will practice emergency responses to the various emergency scenarios that occur while we were in the air. I feel that the training to day went well. The Ukrainians were very interested in the way we treated our patients in the aircraft we had Ukrainians posing as as simulated patients so they were right in here getting their hands dirty, and really interoperating with us.
I think I will remember this training vividly as the first time we actually in the tenure that that I have been around in my own squadron. My expectations that we go forward sand do this every year again helping the Ukrainians get better and that we interoperate seemingly."
