Oregon National Guard service members participate in wild land firefighting training and a controlled burn exercise at the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST), in Salem, OR, on Sept. 12, 2017. The service members were certified by DPSST before deploying to the fire lines to assist with wild land firefighting efforts across the state. They are the 4th and 5th groups activated to help fight forest fires in Oregon.
