    60th Air Mobility Wing

    Within 12 hours of alert, one C-17 Globemaster III with 621st Contingency Response Wing and 60th Medical Group personnel on board flew to St. Croix in support of on-going relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Irma Thursday morning. A small team from the 821st Contingency Response Group, which is part of the 621st CRW, will conduct a site survey of the airfield on the island in preparation for additional response personnel, both federal and military. The 60th Medical Group sent medical equipment, including a 10-bed Enroute Patient Staging System, and critical care air transport teams. Approximately 20 medical Airmen and eight CRW Airmen departed.
