U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to Company A, 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, and Company A, 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division(Air Assault) conduct a local security patrol near their joint advising location in northern Iraq, Dec. 7, 2016. As part of the greater coalition effort to defeat ISIL, Soldiers from 1-26 and 2-502 were tasked to advise and assist the Iraqi security forces as they pushed into Mosul and other locations in northern Iraq.
