U.S. Marines with 1st Marines, 5th Marines, 7th Marines and 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance participated in the 1st Marine Division Infantry Super Squad Competition at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., from Aug. 28 to Sept. 1, 2017. The Marines faced mental, moral and physical challenges everyday in order to determine who was the best squad in the division that would earn the Mitchell trophy and the infantry super squad badge.
