This video contains B-Roll and interviews providing information on the 172d Airlift Wing joining with civilian officials to prepare for the possible movement of Hurricane Harvey effected hospital patients from the Houston area. The Mississippi Air National Guard unit based in Jackson, Mississippi actively maintains relationships and trains with state and federal agencies along with local law enforcement and medical personnel to train for natural disaster response.
With the possibility of patients being transported to Jackson, the 172d Airlift Wing is joining with local medical personnel to plan for their arrival. The wing has provided hangar space and personnel to help facilitate the patients' arrival and dispersement to area medical facilities.
