U.S. Marines with Weapons Co., 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment and members of the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force performed unknown distance sniper fires, Aug. 17, 2017, during exercise Northern Viper, as explained by Sgt. William Stock. Training like this enhanced the service members joint-capabilities and allowed them to share different techniques and tactics, which is crucial to the alliance with our Pacific allies. Sgt. William Stock, 1/3's Scout Sniper chief, is a native of Laporte, Minnesota. (U.S. Marine Corps motion imagery by Lance Cpl. Jared Siniscalchi)
