Sgt. Cynthia Lewis, a medic and EMT, provides service to the Native
Americans on the Fort Peck Reservation as part of the DOD’s
Innovative Readiness Training. She talks of her love for a Native American family of the Dakota tribe that loved her enough to adopt her even though she was an adult and mother of a teenager.
She also loves to serve the citizens of the United States by providing health care to the Native Americans coming into the health clinic who really need the care. It reminds her of the Soldier’s Creed.
