On 14 July 2017 the 62d Airlift Wing held a Change of Command Ceremony at Heritage Hill on McChord Field. Col Leonard J. Kosinski, outgoing Wing Commander, handed the colors to Col Rebecca J. Sonkiss, incoming Wing Commander. The host Commander was Lt Gen Giovanni K. Tuck, Commander 18th Air Force.
