Soldiers from Headquarters Company, 39th infantry brigade combat team, Arkansas
National Guard, held their deployment send off ceremony at the Robinson Maneuver Training Center in north Little Rock, Ark., on June 22.
These soldiers will be aiding for efforts of the Kosovo forces (k-for), joint guardian, by sending units to Kosovo and Bosnia in order to provide command and control responsibilities for the higher headquarters element and by providing security to the citizens of the area to ensure freedom of movement for all.
The k-for mission has been ongoing since 1999. The soldiers of the 39th are scheduled to deploy for approximately one year.
