Thirteen distinguished veterans were inducted into the Joseph A Dugan, Jr. Hall of Valor during a ceremony held at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, March 26, 2017. The inductees were all recipients of distinguished military medals and were born, enlisted or spent most of their life in Pennsylvania. Captain Arthur E. Halfpapp, whose remains were interred at the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in 2016, following their discovery nearly 70 years after his death in combat, was represented by Brigadier General Tony Carrelli, Adjutant General of Pennsylvania.
