U.S. Marines with 2nd Amphibious Assault Battalion (2d AAV BN), 2nd Marine Division (2d MARDIV), celebrate their 75th anniversary as a battalion on Camp Lejeune, N.C., March 19-21, 2017. Over the last 75 years, 2d AAV BN has been a vital part to the operational capabilities of 2d MARDIV providing ship to shore capabilities that have evolved from a lightly funded theory of warfare into a deadly amphibious capability of the Marine Corps.
