This advanced combat live-firing event is something other than what this Army Reserve Soldier signed up for. 1LT Kenneth Holman with the 316th ESC, competed against barriers, makeshift walls and time to shoot strategically placed targets during this obstacle course on 18 March 2017.
Active Army, Army Reserve, and National Guard Soldiers competed in the 2017 Small Arms (All Army) Championship hosted by The U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit at Ft. Benning, Ga. 12-18 March 2017. 1LT Holman was among many of the contestants who volunteered in the competition to win by firing with speed and accuracy to hit targets.
Overall, his participation led to increased individual combat readiness as an Army Reservist a part of the most lethal reserve force.
