U.S. Army Major Jack Griffiths was laid to rest on Wednesday after being missing in action for more than 65-years. He was buried at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery with full military honors.
Major Griffiths disappeared during a battle in North Korea in 1950. For decades, friends and family kept his memory alive while hoping to one day retrieve his remains. Last year, with the use of DNA technology his remains were finally identified and returned to his family in San Diego, CA.
