U.S. Army Paratroopers from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, conduct a tactical movement to Hamam al-Alil, Iraq, Feb. 17, 2017. U.S. Army Lt. Col. John Hawbaker, commander of 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, describes the move to the tactical assembly area and his advise and assist mission with the Iraqi federal police. The 2nd BCT, 82nd Abn. Div., deployed in support of Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve, enables their Iraqi security force partners through the advise and assist mission, contributing planning, intelligence collection and analysis, force protection, and precision fires to achieve the military defeat of ISIS.
