Japanese Soldiers with the Japanese Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF) participate in the Helo Dunker exercise where they practice how to escape an aircraft submerged in water aboard Camp Pendleton California, February 09, 2017. Iron Fist is an annual, bilateral training exercise where U.S. and Japanese service members train together and share techniques, tactics and procedures to improve their combined operational capabilities. IF17 marks the 12th year of the exercise.
