A C-17 Globemaster III from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii transports the remains of 12 unidentified U.S. service members from Hawaii to Offutt Air Force Base, Neb. Nov. 8. The unidentified remains were previously recovered from the USS Oklahoma that was sunk by the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 and laid to rest at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. The remains were exhumed from the cemetery and will now be examined by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency's Offutt laboratory with the hopes of identifying the service members.
