Community volunteers and members of the Alaska National Guard delivered tidings of good cheer to the coastal village of Togiak on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016. They provided children—infants to high schoolers—with wrapped presents from Santa Claus, books, school supplies, backpacks, fresh fruit and ice cream. The delivery is the culmination of planning and coordination for Operation Santa Claus, an annual event in its 60th year.
