Yudh Abhyas, which means 'training for war' in Hindi, focused on the interoperability between the U.S. and Indian armies. The training integrated the Soldiers of both the 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, 1-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team, and the 12 Madras into a single unit for a simulated U.N. peacekeeping operation in a fictional African nation in crisis. Soldiers from both nations did everything together, whether it was conducting battle drills and morning physical fitness, or dining and sharing their cultures.
