Sgt. Nicholas Lollock gives his take as he is about to embark on Blue Chromite 2017 aboard the USS Green Bay (LPD 20) Oct. 27 at White Beach Naval Station, Okinawa, Japan. Blue Chromite is a large-scale, amphibious mission rehearsal that draws primarily from III Marine Expeditionary Force and 7th Fleet training resources forward deployed on Okinawa. Lollock, from Inverness, Illinois, is a section leader assigned to Company K, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment which is forward deployed from Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, to 3rd Marine Division, based in Okinawa, Japan.
