U.S. Army paratroopers assigned 173rd Airborne Brigade Support Battalion, 173rd Airborne Brigade activated the newest 601st Quartermaster Company brigade support battalion at Aviano Air Base, Italy Oct. 6, 2016. The ceremony was attended by NATO allies, leaders from other U.S. military units, paratroopers and families. The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army Contingency Response Force in Europe, capable of projective forces anywhere in the U.S. European, Africa or Central Command areas of responsibility within 18 hours.(U.S. Army Video by Visual Information Specialist Davide Dalla Massara/released)
