Parris Island Fire and Emergency Services conduct a tour of Parris Island, S.C. to assess damages after Hurricane Matthew Oct. 8, 2016. The fire dept. evaluated damages caused by the hurricane and cleared major road blocks during the assessment. To ensure the safety of approximately 6,000 recruits in training, Recruit Training Regiment evacuated to Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany due to inclement weather from the hurricane. Recruit training will resume aboard Parris Island when conditions are met for safe travel back and when training can be properly conducted. (Video by Lance Cpl. Carlin Warren)
