Some of the Hawaii National Guards geographically separated units were recently visited the the National Guard Bureau’s, Senior Enlisted Advisor, Chief Master Sergeant Mitchell Brush.
The tour of the neighbor Island Army and Air Guard locations on the islands of Hawaii and Maui was during the middle part of a three-day visit to the pacific state.
At each location Chief Brush met with Soldiers and Airman to discuss the the current state of affairs that effect guardsman across the state, and introduced the current military leadership at the pentagon from the Secretary of Defense to the Chief of the National Guard Bureau.
During the town hall meetings, and unit visits Chief spoke about deployments, retirement, and total force culture all while examining the family values of the guard.
This was Chief Brush’s third visit to the State of Hawaii but, it was the only time he has had the opportunity to visit guardsmen on the neighbor islands.
