SOT: Lt. Gen. Timothy Kadavy, Director, Army National Guard, National Guard Bureau, visited troops located at the Romanian Land Forces Combat Training Center, Cincu, Romania on July 31 and Aug. 1. The troops are engaged in a multi-national military exercise called Saber Guardian, involving approximately 2, 800 military personnel from 10 nations. The objectives of this exercise are to build multinational, regional and joint partnership capacity by enhancing military relationships, exchanging professional experiences, and improving interoperability between the land forces from the participating countries. Lt. Gen. Kadavy discusses why this type of training is important.
