Danes prepare to join NATO’s spearhead force, the VJTF

Deep in the Lithuanian woodland, 1,400 Danish troops with 500 vehicles take part in exercise White Sword (part of exercise Iron Wolf) with soldiers from America, France, Germany, Lithuania and Luxembourg. For the Danes, it’s a chance to face-off against a simulated opposition, as well as to coordinate tactics and communications. Next year, this brigade will form part of NATO’s Very High Readiness Joint Task Force, or VJTF.
Footage includes shots of Danish and American troops simulating offensive and defensive maneuvers and shots of Danish armored vehicles taking part in the exercise.
