The opening ceremony to begin the Health Services Support Engagement in support of Khaan Quest 2016 was held at a local school in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, May 23, 2016. Military medical professionals from Canada, India, Mongolia, United States of America, Germany, and Republic of Korea are participating in the HSSE and are providing a variety of health services to the local Mongolian community during KQ16. Khaan Quest is an annual multinational peacekeeping operations exercise hosted by the Mongolian Armed Forces, co-sponsored by U.S. Pacific Command, and supported by U.S. Army Pacific and U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific. Khaan Quest, in its 14th iteration, is the capstone exercise for this year’s Global Peace Operations Initiative program and will focus on training activities to enhance international interoperability, develop peacekeeping capabilities, build mil-to-mil relationships, and enhance military readiness.
