Infantrymen of B Company, 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment (Airborne), utilized portable anti-tank missiles and artillery to combat armored personnel carriers and a platoon of dismounted enemy forces during defensive maneuver training at Saber Junction 16 on April 10, 2016. The exercise, held at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany, March 31-April 24, 2016, is designed to evaluate the readiness of U.S. Army Europe’s 173rd Airborne Brigade to conduct unified land operations and promote interoperability in a joint, multinational environment. Saber Junction 16 includes nearly 5,000 participants from 16 NATO and European partner nations.
