Recruits of Kilo Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, and Oscar Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, learned basic water survival techniques April 4, 2016, on Parris Island, S.C. Recruits learn how to survive in water through a series of exercises, including a 25-meter swim, leaping into the water from a tower, treading water and quickly shedding combat equipment while underwater.
