Marines and sailors with 2nd Tank Battalion held a deactivation ceremony for Charlie Company at Camp Lejeune, N.C., March 4, 2016. Charlie Co., activated in 1941, has taken part in several wars; World War II (Tarawa and Saipan), Vietnam War, Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom (Fallujah).
