"Well, I’m certainly hopeful that this is the year that we actually get significant commitments for action from the international community, I think the United States is leading the effort. President Obama's commitment of reducing our emissions by 26 to 28 percent, based on 2005 baseline is an important consideration. Obviously we want an agreement that is transparent, an agreement that is universal and is comprehensive, and allows countries to basically provide input, goals, commitments that we can then over the period of time track. I know in the U.S. situation, certainly as it relates to agriculture we have made a commitment to double the rate of emission reductions in U.S. agriculture and what this is going to do is it's going to help contribute to that 26 to 28 percent reduction in our emissions at the U.S., which of course gonna contribute to the global effort to keep climate change increases in temperature less than 2 degrees Celsius."
