Chief Petty Officer Ian Eady, executive petty officer and deck watch officer aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Kanawha, drives the cutter up and down the river as his crew sets and retrieves buoys, Nov. 19, 2015. Chief Eady uses the ships rudders and flanking rudders to position the Kanawha in place near shallow waters when the crew is moving buoys along the river to mark a safe channel for commercial vessels.
