Coast Guardsmen board a self-propelled semi-submersible in international waters off the coast of Central America Aug. 31, 2015. The Coast Guardsmen had limited time in the submersible because of the danger of it sinking with the servicemembers inside. Boarding team members retrieved over seven tons of contraband from the semi-submersible that tested positive for cocaine worth an estimated $227 million. After the suspected smugglers and contraband were removed from the semi-submersible, the craft was sunk as a hazard to navigation. Coast Guard video courtesy of Cutter Bertholf.
