The US Army conducted a MedEvac Training in San Gregorio.
Two Blackhawk helicopter from the Zaragoza airbase supported the training.
The trainees learned how to approach a helicopter with a wounded person.
It is necessary in order to comply with NATO´s aim to provide medical treatment within the specific timelines of 10 -1-2. ( first aid within 10 min, damage control resuscitation within 1 hour and damage control surgery not later than 2 hours). Therefore any loss of time due to wrong procedures while loading the wounded person into the helicopter is unnecessary.
