A C-130 Hercules aircrew from the 120th Airlift Wing, 186th Airlift Squadron, Montana Air National Guard, conducts a large-formation airdrop at the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, Alpena, Mich., July 24, 2015 as part of Exercise Northern Strike 2015. Northern Strike will combine air and ground capabilities that will bring together aircraft from more than a dozen units and service members from more than 25 states and four coalition countries from July 31 to August 1 on Camp Grayling, Alpena and in Rogers City. Northern Strike is the only exercise of this size and scope for the Michigan Guard and will integrate ground based weapon systems like mortars and artillery with attack aircraft to support maneuver forces on the ground.
