Dignitaries from Latvia and surrounding countries attended the World War II commemoration ceremony, “Victory in Europe Day,” at Riga Brethen Cemetery, in Latvia. The event honors the victims of WWII by laying wreaths at the cemetery. Attendees included the command team from 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division. The team and their Soldiers are supporting Operation Atlantic Resolve; an ongoing multinational partnership focused on joint training and security cooperation between the U.S. and other NATO allies.
