Exercise Joint Warrior 151 is being conducted on Scottish waters. Preparation of contingency and aircraft check flights during the exercise. Helicopter functional checks conducted on USS Vicksburg’s (CG 69) flight deck.

Landing Safety Officer at HSM 48: “What’s happening right now is that is just conducted a maintenance period and the aircraft is going through a check flight to make sure everything is working appropriately. So right now the co-pilot is working the PCL’s back, the rate at which the rotors are spinning is slowing down and they are checking to make sure the generators stay on line.”
