Sailors, assigned to forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), and Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct a foreign object debris (FOD) walkdown on the flight deck. An AV-8B Harrier jet assigned to Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 238, takes off and lands on the flight deck. An MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Reinforced), takes off from the flight deck. Bonhomme Richard is the lead ship of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, along with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently conducting a Certification Exercise (CERTEX).
