Soldiers from Battery A, 2nd Battalion, 32nd Field Artillery Regiment "Proud Americans", 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, conducted an air assault sling load training exercise to further enhance readiness by transporting equipment across a designated area located on Fort Riley, Kansas, Dec. 11.
Four high mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicles were staged alongside four M119A2 lightweight howitzers, and four teams who were more than ready to take the challenge. These vital pieces of equipment were then attached to a CH-47 Chinook and flown to an alternate training area without loss of equipment or destruction to government property.
