Hawaii national guard’s senior leader, Adjutant General Darryll D.M. Wong, recently went over the edge for Special Olympics. Getting to go over the edge is a reward for individuals who have raised over one thousand dollars for the charity. At the close of Hawaii’s Special Olympics annual Over the Edge fundraiser that saw over $100,000 added to the charity’s books, General Wong rappelled 40 stories down the side the Hyatt Regency in Waikiki. Hawaii Army National Guardsmen from the 93rd CST also volunteered their time as riggers and provided safety briefs for those who took the drop, insuring that the event was safe and successful.
