Soldiers from the Michigan Army National Guard’s 460th Chemical Company headquartered in Augusta took their training to the test today with their counterpart Chemical experts from the Latvian Army. The Soldiers are here in Adazi, Latvia this week as part of Operation Silver Arrow, a multinational, Latvian-led training mission in conjunction with United States Army Europe and Operation Atlantic Resolve. The Soldiers will encounter a simulated chemical hazard while clothed in their protective gear, all while First Lieutenant Melissa Renucci, their team leader, monitors their reactions and training in procedures.
