The fourth Thursday of every month, the Nightingale Inn Dining Facility has what's called the 'Airmen Appreciation Meal,' where Chiefs serve dinner to the Airmen at Scott AFB. This particular meal took place on April 25th, 2013. Meals start at 1630 and end at 1800. Airman sign in when they first arrive and choose from a limited menu, where they are then seated and served restaurant style by the Chiefs. The event is open to all Airmen at Scott, and it's intention is to 'give something back' to the Airmen who contribute to the mission and are the future of the Air Force. It also allows Chiefs a face-to-face, one-on-one opportunity to talk with the Airmen whom they may not see on a daily basis.
