U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel gives remarks at the 2014 International Institute for Strategic Studies Asia Security Summit-better known as the Shangri La Dialogue-in Singapore. The Dialogue is an annual gathering of defense ministers, chiefs and heads of state for direct discussion of a wide range of security issues affecting the Asia-Pacific region. It's been held since 2002 and currently has 27 participating nations. Secretary Hagel spoke at the first plenary session which focused on the U.S. contribution to regional security.
