Soldiers are welcomed to the 17th Field Artillery Brigade through the recently
revamped Brigade Newcomers Program at Joint Base Lewis McChord, Mar. 24-28.
The new members of the Thunderbolt brigade are welcomed by the Brigade Command
Sgt. Maj., Command Sgt. Maj. Edward Russell. The new Thunderbolt Soldiers
undergo a week of rigorous physical training that introduces them to the
brigade standard. They also attend briefings that introduce them to the
