    CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Rear. Adm. Arthur E. Brooks speaks at Communications Area Master Station Atlantic's Hispanic Heritage month event Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009. Dancers also perform the traditional flamenco dance.

    CAMSLANT offers a full spectrum of telecommunications services to support the fleet, shore commanders, and other government agencies and organizations throughout the world.

    Hispanic Heritage Month is a period to recognize the contributions of Hispanic Americans to the United States and to celebrate Hispanic heritage and culture. It started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week and was approved by President Lyndon Johnson.
