US military veterinarians assist Salvadoran cavalry regiment with vaccinations for their base animals to include horses, cows, sheep and goats. The mission is in support of Beyond the Horizon El Salvador, a joint foreign military interaction and humanitarian exercise occurring until late June. Other events for the mission include the building of schools in remote areas, free medical and dental clinics, and veterinary assistance. More than 500 animals were vaccinated during the visit.
