Marine Sgt. Christopher Hancock, native of Crossville, Tenn., talks about what the 2013 Marine Corps Trials means to him at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Feb. 27, 2013. While in Afghanistan in 2011, Hancock lost both legs below the knees in an improvised explosive device blast. He plans to compete in swimming, shooting and cycling at the Trials. The Trials is an opportunity for wounded Marines, veterans and allies to compete in wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, track and field, swimming, archery and shooting. The top 50 athletes will go on to compete against wounded warriors from the other branches of military service at the Warrior Games in Colorado Springs, Colo., in May. Produced by Sgt. Andrew Milner and Photos by Cpl. Tyler Main.
