Before an aircraft of any sort can take flight, it has to pass rigorous safety inspections. And only if the aircraft has been properly maintained, can it pass with flying colors. Maintainrs at HSL 51, Helicopter Anti-submarine Squadron Light 5-1, have the job of ensuring helicopters there can land safely. Petty Officer Shamira Purifoy has more. Includes sound bites from Petty Officer 1st Class Charleston Hughey and Petty Officer 1st Class Francisco Aguilar, HSL-51 Aircraft Maintainers.
