Description: Pfc. Christian E. Maerz from Indianapolis, Indiana discusses his experience as a high school student at the National Guard Patriot Academy at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Complex in Butlerville, Ind. Maerz is a graduate of the last class of the Patriot Academy which began as a pilot program in 2009 to offer a second chance to new recruits to earn their high school diplomas and serve their country. The program will case its organizational colors in January, 2013.
Maerz is a member of the Indiana Army National Guard's 113th Medical Supply Battalion, Charlie Company. Available in high definition.
