Responds to Sandy The Preventive and Aerospace Medicine Team is designed to prevent Disease and Non-Battle Injuries (DNBI) which have historically had a significant impact on mission accomplishment in wartime/contingency operations.
A Public Health Officer provide expertise in food inspection, food facility sanitation, medical intelligence, disease and injury surveillance, vector surveillance, field sanitation evaluation, and field occupational health education.
The Kansas PAM team deployed Nov. 7 in response to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. They returned to Kansas on Nov. 18.
